Thornhaven is the heart of its valley: huts, a bronze-smith, a healer’s door, fields, and a hunter who sleeps badly.

Kael lives at the edge. Lyssa walks the lanes with herbs and a gift she tries to hide. Kael the Elder hammers plow blades. Elder Thom would like the morning to remain ordinary.

Ordinary is ending. People glance toward the northern forest the way you glance at a storm.
